Affordable Courier Software for Your Business
PNG Informatics Private Limited builds affordable courier management software that handles the work a courier business does every day: taking bookings, issuing AWB numbers and labels, tracking consignments, running deliveries with proof of delivery, and billing customers against their agreed rates.
Like the rest of our courier software in India, it is scoped to what you actually run. You pay for the modules your operation uses rather than a fixed bundle, which is what keeps the cost proportionate for a small or mid-sized courier business.
Scoped to what you use
Core modules, plus only what you need.
- Booking, AWB and labels
- Tracking and proof of delivery
- Rate cards and billing
- Reports and integrations
Who It Is For, and What It Fixes
This suits courier companies running their own pickup and delivery staff, logistics operators handling consignments for account customers, and distributors dispatching to a dealer network. The common thread is that shipments are booked, moved and billed by you — not handed wholesale to someone else’s platform.
The problems it addresses are the ones that appear once volume outgrows spreadsheets and courier portals. Nobody can answer where a consignment is without making a phone call. Billing takes days at month end because the data has to be assembled first. Cash collected on delivery is reconciled weeks later, when nobody can reconstruct the day. The same consignment gets typed into two systems.
The modules work off one shipment record, which is what makes courier billing and tracking software genuinely useful rather than two disconnected tools. A booking creates the record; every scan updates it; delivery closes it; billing reads it. Because it is one record rather than several, the tracking your customer sees and the invoice your finance team raises describe the same consignment.
What Is Included
The core modules, and what each one does in practice.
Shipment Booking
Create a consignment with sender, receiver, contents, weight and service level. Single entry for counter work, bulk upload for a day’s orders.
AWB & Label Generation
AWB numbers from your own series or a connected partner’s, with labels in the layout and barcode format the receiving hub expects.
Shipment Tracking
Status updated by scan at each handover, visible internally and on a customer-facing page where a recipient enters an AWB or reference.
Customer Management
Account customers with their contact details, pickup addresses, agreed rate card and full shipment history in one record.
Delivery Management
Allocate consignments to delivery staff, hand over by scan, and close each attempt with proof of delivery — signature, photograph or OTP.
Billing & Payment Records
Freight calculated per consignment from the customer’s rate card, accumulated for periodic invoicing, with payments recorded against the account.
Reports
Shipments by status and period, delivery performance, revenue by customer, and branch or staff activity — shaped around decisions you actually make.
Courier Integrations
Connections to courier partners for booking, labels and tracking, subject to your account with that carrier and what their API grants it.
Scoped to Your Operation
Each module is configured to how you work — your statuses, your rate structures, your document formats — rather than a fixed template.
Included above, or scoped separately
The nine items above are the core. COD collection and reconciliation, multi-branch access and permissions, NDR and RTO workflows, customer portals and mobile applications are scoped per project — available, but quoted according to whether you need them. A prepaid-only single-branch operation should not be paying for COD reconciliation or franchise settlement. Full detail of the operational modules is on our courier management software page.
From Booking to Billing
The supported sequence. Not every operation needs every stage — which apply to you is agreed during scoping.
Booking
The consignment record is created and priced from the customer’s rate card.
AWB and label
A number is issued and a scannable label produced for the parcel.
Pickup
Collection is assigned and closed as collected or failed, with a failure able to trigger a reschedule.
Movement
Scans between branches or hubs update the record, which is what makes later tracking trustworthy.
Delivery and proof
The consignment is allocated, delivered and closed with signature, photograph or OTP captured at the door.
Billing and reconciliation
Freight accumulates for periodic invoicing. Where COD is in scope, collections are reconciled against what is handed in.
Affordability and What a Quotation Covers
Affordable here means proportionate: you are quoted for the modules your operation uses, not a fixed package. That is what makes a low-cost courier software build genuinely low cost — scope, not a discount. It does not mean we are the lowest-priced option available, which is not a claim we could evidence.
We do not publish a price list. Courier operations differ enough that a figure given before a requirement discussion would be a guess, and usually an optimistic one. What a quotation accounts for:
- Modules and user roles — which of the core you need, and which optional scope applies.
- Branches and permissions — how many locations, and how complex the access rules are.
- Integrations — which couriers and systems must connect. Routinely the most underestimated item.
- Mobile applications — whether delivery staff need an app, and whether it must work offline.
- Data migration — how much history comes across from your current system, and its condition.
- Hosting and support — where it runs, and what ongoing maintenance you want.
Send us your shipment volume, branch structure and the systems it must connect to, and we will quote against that scope rather than a template.
Get a QuotationWhat Makes the Best Courier Software for Your Business?
The best courier software is the one that matches your operation. The best courier management software for a franchise network is not the same product that suits a single-branch business, so judge any option — including ours — against these.
- Workflow fit. Does it follow your real sequence without workarounds? Watch for the stages above that you actually run.
- Ease of use. Booking clerks and delivery staff use it all day. If the common path takes too many taps, data is entered late and tracking stops reflecting reality.
- Tracking your customers can read. One status model and a timeline that makes sense to someone outside your operation.
- Billing that matches your terms. Rate cards by client, slab, zone and surcharge. This is where generic products most often fail a courier business.
- COD, if you collect cash. Collection recorded per consignment and reconciled against what is handed in. If you do not run COD, do not pay for it.
- Integrations. What it connects to, and what each connection needs from your own carrier accounts.
- Data access. Can you export everything, at any time, in a usable format? Agree it before signing, not at exit.
- Implementation and total cost. Migration, training and support over three years — not just the build price.

How Implementation Works
Requirements discussion
We map how consignments move through your business today, and what is costing you time.
Agreed scope
Modules, roles, integrations and what is explicitly out of scope, written down before work starts.
Configuration and development
Your statuses, rate structures and documents configured; anything genuinely bespoke built.
Testing
Checked against acceptance criteria you have agreed, using your own consignments rather than sample data.
Migration
Where applicable: extracting, cleaning and importing history from your current system.
Training
Branch staff and delivery teams trained on the parts they use, not a full product tour.
Building something more bespoke than a configured system? That is covered on our courier software development page. Routing shipments through other carriers instead of your own network? See courier aggregator software.

Discuss Your Courier Software Requirements
The quickest route to a useful quotation is four things: your approximate shipment volume, your branch structure, which modules you think you need, and the systems it has to integrate with. Send those and we will come back with what it would take.
