What is transport management software?
Transport management software plans and records the movement of goods by vehicle — which vehicle, which driver, which route, carrying what, at what cost.
It differs from courier software in scale and unit. Courier systems think in parcels; transport systems think in trips, vehicles and loads. A business moving full or part truckloads asks different questions: is this vehicle full, is the driver's licence current, did this trip make money.
